Frequently asked questions

Are you a translation agency?

We are not a translating agency. In your dealings with us you will be dealing and communicating with the direct translators responsible for your project, with no translation agency acting as intermediary. Not only does this speed up any inquiry you might have, but also cuts down middle-man costs.

What payment methods do we accept?

We accept bank transfers, online credit and debit card payments, as well as payment through paypal. Payment is received in US dollars and Euros.

If you are in Ecuador, or have a bank account in Ecuador, and would like to make your payment using the local banking system, please contact us.

What are, if any, the additional fees regarding payment?

Online payments made with Stripe are subject to a fee of 1.4% of the total cost if the card is issued in the European Union, and 2.9% if the card is issued elsewhere.

International Wire Transfers are received in Ecuador or Switzerland, and are subject to the fee charged by the bank and/or 3rd party banking services. Any cost charged by a service provider for making a wire transfer is not included in the final project cost.

Are documents treated with confidentiality?

Whether you requested your documents to be kept as confidential or not, strict confidentiality and protection of the information received for translation is guaranteed. Your information will be treated as privileged and a confidentiality agreement for your project may be signed by our project manager if so required.

In how much time are translation projects generally completed?

Our regular translation output is 2,500-3,000 words per day (approximately 65,000 to 75,000 words per month).

Urgent or rush translations entailing 3,500 – 4,000 words translated per day can continue for about 7 days, totalling between 25,500 - 28,000 words in 7 calendar days.

What about CAT Tools?

We use both Trados Studio, WordFast, and Trados Workbench/Tag Editor.

What document formats do we accept?

Editable texts are preferred to speed up the translating process. Otherwise, the text must be converted and formatted before starting the actual process of translation and this results in a delay in the delivery of the translation . File conversion or formatting may increase the final cost of the translation.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions regarding this question.
